The EU research project EMILI (Emergency Management in Large Infrastuctures)
aims at a new generation of control systems for large critical infrastructures like power grids and telecommunication systems,
airports, railway / metro systems, oil and gas pipelines. The Unit 'Programming- und Modelling Languages'
at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich is one of the participants in EMILI.
The main goal of EMILI is the investigation of CEP applications in information systems for monitoring and control of infrastructural facilities.
In particular, the use of CEP technology in the so-called Supervisory Control and Data Acqisition system for the applications at the airports,
train and subway stations and power grids will be considered. With other words, EMILI will supply the QONCEPT project with the real-life CEP
applications which are useful for both the constraint language design and the experemental evaluation.
